How to make the sorting gesture visible and engaging in a shopping mall? This is the challenge that Vibe has taken up for the Auchan Balma-Gramont commercial gallery, by designing and implementing the Eco-Tri Space, an eco-citizen sorting cabinet developed in collaboration with Screen Total.
This was thought of as a real arrangement rather than a simple collection point. It combines functionality, pedagogy and the choice of durable materials, in a logic of awareness of the sorting of waste directly in the places of passage of visitors. Vibe ensured the entire project, from design to on-site installation, technical development, manufacturing and integration of the educational screen.
The choice of materials is central to this project. The facades and dressing elements are made of solid chestnut, a durable and resistant French essence. The work plans are made of OSTREA, a low carbon material made in France from recycled shells. Unlike a classic resin, OSTREA consists of about 65% shell glitter and 35% mineral matrix, without added resin.
The Eco-Tri Space illustrates an approach where design, custom manufacturing and circular economy meet, to transform a gesture of everyday life, the sorting of waste, in a more visible and intuitive moment for Auchan Balma-Gramont visitors.
