DJ Booth – Sea Effect at La Grande Motte

The Sea Effect is a private beach located at the Grand Travers, at the entrance of La Grande Motte. Mediterranean atmosphere, homemade cuisine, electro sets in the evening: the place works from morning until 2am, with a strong identity built around wood, vegetal and an aesthetic beach club assumed.

To complete the layout of their bar and stage space, the Sea Effect called on Vibe to design and manufacture a custom DJ boot.

The main constraint was formal: a circular structure, so that the DJ was 360 degrees visible from the entire space. On a beach where the party takes place on both the bar and the sand side, the control could not be a piece of furniture placed against a wall. She must have been a focal point, almost a scene alone.

Vibe has designed a solid wood furniture, with a large sized work tablet to accommodate a complete Pioneer DJ configuration. The outside of the structure is surrounded by a curved glass band, worked in silkscreen with the Sea Effect logo. Everything is dimensioned to withstand external conditions: sun, salt, intensive use over several months of season.

The result naturally integrates into the visual world of the place: raw wood, organic forms... No fioriture, but a real care given to every manufacturing detail.
